Fans of Jesus Christ
On the night of the show it was a hot one, with temperatures near 90 degrees. At the gift shop, custom hand fans were being sold. These fans were custom printed with pictures of Jesus Christ on them. We bought several for the occasion and the weather situation.
Now I must say this was the third time I’d seen the Great Passion Play, but most of the Haller grand kids were seeing the passion play for the first time. What a great opportunity to become one with Christ and/or rekindle that fire for our Savior. I obviously focused on the play and its meaning, but I put a lot of time in observing my surroundings and the people attending this phenomenal drama.
There were all types of people at this Saturday night passion play. I saw old, young, black, white, Asian, Oriental, bikers and vacationers. They all had one thing in common; they were here to see the reenactment of Jesus Christ’s miracles, death on the cross, and transformation. I can say with confidence that they all did not arrive with the same belief in our savior. But I guarantee you that each and every attendee got a little closer to our Lord, Jesus Christ that night. You could say they all became “Fans of Jesus Christ” (even if they didn’t buy a custom hand fan).
We praise you Lord, Jesus Christ.
